With our Raise Your Own Steer program, you get all the benefits of homegrown beef with none of the work. Reserve your steer now, we’ll raise it right here on our farm, and you’ll receive a finished animal ready for butchering in Spring-Summer 2026. What’s included in the $3,700?
That covers the purchase and full raising of your steer on our farm. You’ll get a finished animal (~700 lbs hanging weight) ready for the butcher. It does not include butcher fees, custom cuts, packaging, or delivery — but we will help you navigate those steps.When will the steer be ready?
Each steer will be finished between April and July 2026, depending on its growth rate and weight.How much meat will I get?
You’ll get around 700 lbs of hanging weight, which typically yields enough meat to fill an entire chest freezer.Is the meat cut and packaged?
We’ll help you coordinate that step, but it’s a separate process and cost. You’ll get to customize how your beef is cut and packaged to fit your family’s needs.Can I split a steer with someone else?
Absolutely—many customers go in on a steer together and divide the meat after processing.Is there a deadline to reserve?
Yes — full payment is due by September 2025 so we can purchase and raise your animal. The earlier you reserve, the better we can plan.Can I get a discount for ordering more than one?
